Research Experience for Pre-Service Teachers (REPT) Program 2014

What is REPT?
The COSEE Florida Research Experience for Pre-Service Teachers (REPT) Program offers students and recent graduates in science education (ones that have not yet started a teaching position) the opportunity to learn first-hand about the process of scientific discovery and research. Students from IRSC, Edison State College, and Broward College will work with local scientists on marine science research projects for a 7 week time period this summer.  Students will be paid a stipend, funded by COSEE Florida and the National Science Foundation.

Are you a pre-service teacher who is interested in an amazing research experience?

COSEE Florida works to bring scientists, educators and people of all ages together reaching out to the public to educate and inform them about the marine ecosystem to stimulate community discussion and to increase awareness of the value of scientific knowledge in environmental decision making.  Funded through a National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant, IRSC COSEE Florida's partners include Florida Institute of Technology, the Smithsonian Marine Station at Fort Pierce, and Ocean Research and Conservation Association (ORCA).
