STUDY ABROAD INFORMATION Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC), a non-profit sea turtle rehabilitation center in Juno Beach, FL is happy to announce our 2017 Serving the World's Imperiled Marine life (SWIM) continued education program. Join LMC staff on a multi-day conservation program to Maui, Hawai'i or Estero Padre Ramos Natural Reserve in Nicaragua to work hands-on with sea turtle rehabilitation, research and conservation efforts and gain valuable experience in the field and working within the community to reach common goals. From July 1 - July 31 students and marine science educators receive $200 off their registration to either Maui, Hawai'i or Nicaragua. Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a sea turtle research, rehabilitation, and education facility located in Juno Beach, Florida, is seeking a marine science-minded intern to join our team of educators and conservationists for the Fall 2017 semester. Intern opportunities include: Public Programs Intern The Education Department is currently accepting college level interns to assist with the development, implementation and facilitation of current and future public programming offered at LMC. Students interested in this program will be working under the Environmental Programs Manager and assisting in various projects, including the development and completion of a mutually agreed program to implement at the end of their internship. Qualifications: All interns must be currently enrolled university students (full or part time) pursuing a degree in a related discipline (i.e. marine science, biology, environmental science, education). All interns must also possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test. Additional requirements include:
